Architectural and Structural Scan to BIM Modeling for a commercial building, UK

The objective was to develop a LOD 300 3D Revit model of Architectural and Structural elements of a commercial building from the scans provided by the client.

We were required to create an Architectural and Structural revit model from the scans including both exterior and interior scope at LOD 300. The area of the site was approx. 5,947.22 sq. m.

Exterior Elements to be modelled:

• Roof (gutter, down pipes, dormers), Walls, Curtain walls, Overhangs & Railings (if any), façade details (Wall sweeps/ Window trims), Doors, Windows, exterior Columns, Material specifications and loadable model in place families.

For the interior, we were required to model 2 units in the building as follows:

1. Flying Tiger – First and Second floor
2. Vacant Topshop – Ground, First and Second floor

Interior Elements to be modelled included:

• Walls, door, windows, staircase, railings, Curtain walls, details (Wall sweeps/ Window trims), Columns, escalators, elevators, ceilings, floor.
