Model Receipt

We receive your discipline models (Revit files, IFC exports, or NWC/NWD cache files) and run a pre-test check. Any issues are flagged before the clash tests are run.

Navisworks Federation

All discipline models are loaded into a single Navisworks Manage composite file, which will be the federated model. Clash test sets are then configured for every relevant discipline pair, with tolerances set appropriately for each pair rather than on blanket defaults.

Clash Detection Run

Clash tests are executed across all configured discipline pairs, covering hard, soft, and workflow clash types. Detected clashes are reviewed, false positives are filtered, and every genuine conflict is assigned a reference number, a clash type, a severity rating, and a responsible discipline.

BCF & PDF Report Issue

A full clash report is issued in both BCF and PDF formats. The BCF file contains every clash viewpoint, element ID, and classification and can be imported directly into Revit or any BCF-compatible tool. The PDF report includes screenshots at every clash viewpoint, resolution notes, and a clash count summary by type and discipline pair.

Resolution & Re-Test

Teams take action, update their models, and return them to us. We re-run all relevant clash tests on the updated models, confirming each resolution is effective and that no secondary clashes have been introduced by the changes.

Clean Model Delivery

Once the clash log reaches zero open clashes, we issue a clean model confirmation and close the clash detection cycle. The resolved federated model is available for coordinated drawing extraction or handover to the BIM Coordination team for further use.
