Objective

To develop a 3D Revit model of Architectural and Structural elements of a Police Complex, Block 1 and Block 2 at LOD 300 with the help of scans/point cloud data.

Summary

The project was a Public Police Complex and consisted of 2 blocks.

  • Block 1 was an ordinary RCC (Reinforce Cement Concrete) building
  • Block 2 was a steel structure building

The client had provided us with the point cloud, pdfs as well as photographs of the two blocks of the complex. We had to develop a 3D Architectural and Structural Revit model for the project including external faces and interior elements of the building.

Elements to be modeled were as follows:

Architectural Model:

  • Walls
  • Curtain Walls Doors
  • Windows
  • Sanitary Fixtures
  • Floors
  • Roof
  • Ceiling
  • Façade details (Wall sweeps/ Window trims)
  • Handrails
  • Fixed furniture
  • Material Specifications all to be placed in accuracy with scans

Structure Model:

  • Columns
  • Beam
  • Structural framings & Truss
  • Staircase and Railings
