Objective

To develop structural BIM models in LOD 300 from point cloud data for Twin Office towers.

Summary

The project was to create a structural BIM model for a high-rise office building at LOD 300. It was a twin tower wherein we had to create the complete structural 3D digital model from the laser scan data. This consisted of:

  • Beams and Columns
  • Slabs (Roof/Floor)
  • Tie roads (with columns & Beams)
  • Cores (Structural walls, Staircases, and Elevators)

The input set consisted of point cloud data for the 2 towers, and CAD plans along with a scope document with the specific standards that we had to follow while modelling.

Total Area of the Project: 133,075 sq. ft.
